From 1995 to 2005, Janine Adams earned her
living writing about pets. She wrote over 100 pet-related
magazine, newspaper, and website articles, for publications
like Family Circle, Good Housekeeping, the Washington Post,
the Christian Science Monitor, Dog-World, Dog Fancy, and
AKC Family Dog.
During that time she had four regular columns: for PetLife
magazine, the AKC Gazette, thePoop.com and Dog World. She
continued writing her book-review column for Dog-World even
after scaling back her writing in 2005 to concentrate on
her new organizing business (Peace of Mind Organizing LLC).
Her last book-review column was in Dog World’s December 2007
issue.
As she grew as a writer and dog owner, she became increasingly
interested in writing about holistic health care and positive
training. Two of her favorite and (she believes) most important
